Pirate Costumes

August 25, 2010

The last parts of the kids' eagerly-awaited pirate costumes arrived today, so of course we had to give them a try.

Ahoy, mateys!

Cake Decorators

August 19, 2010

While Drew was at his first day of kindergarten, Mommy decided to break out the little kid cake decorating set the girls received for their birthday.

The girls had a BLAST and their cakes turned out great.

Tracy loved seeing the girls follow in her footsteps.

Working hard.

First Day of School

August 19, 2010

Today has finally arrived. Drew's first day of real school.

Our little boy started kindergarten today. We all drove to school, took a couple of photos, and waited for the bell to ring.

Unlike preschool, there were no long goodbyes. In fact, Drew said goodbye, lined up, and headed into the classroom with the rest of his new classmates, leaving a lot of parents to stare at a closed door from outside the building, each one asking themselves what just happened.

We think Drew will really like his teacher and his class, and we are so proud of him.

What a grown up boy!

Grace & Teagan's Birthday Party

August 15, 2010

We headed up North to Fort Collins today for Grace and Teagan's birthday party.

As always, this party was a lot of fun, and there's always a pinata!

Mmmmm. Lunch!

Can't wait to eat that!

MOPS Garage Sale

August 14, 2010

Today was the first annual Calvary MOPS Garage Sale.

It was a LOT of work, but it was a BIG success!

Silly Boy

August 11, 2010

Drew decided (for some reason) to play a trick on us today.

When we told him to get dressed, we failed to specify that he should get dressed correctly.

Our mistake.

However, it's important to note that while the trick was on us today, it will surely be on him in about ten to fifteen years.

Yes, those are underwear around his neck.

Good Ol' Chuck

August 7, 2010

We headed down South today to take cousins Hailey and Wyatt to Chuck E. Cheese.

It was a crazy, but really fun time. There's a big difference tracking five kids at CeC's as opposed to "just" three, which we are used to.

We have never loved their check in / check out system more than we did today.

Visiting the Kueppers

August 6, 2010

We packed up the family today and headed South to Boulder to visit the Kueppers in their new house.

We had a great time, including a visit to the park across the street, and a wonderful dinner.

The long night must have weakened our defenses, as the kids somehow convinced both sets of parents that they should have a sleepover.

So, the night ended with five kids in our minivan heading back to Longmont for the kids very first sleepover ever.

(Yes, she climbed up there herself...multiple times.)

Does anyone think these five kids will go to sleep easily?
(Didn't think so....and you're right!)

Family Time

August 5, 2010

Tonight was one of those nights where we just hung out together and had fun doing it.

Somehow, Tracy ended up getting out her wedding dress, and the girls had fun trying it on.

Lexi needed a dress, too.

Yes, of course Toby was there too!

Boulder County Fair

August 4, 2010

Tracy and the kids joined a couple of MOPS families at the Boulder County Fair today.

As usual, this event was a lot of fun for the kids, and the free admission makes it even better!
